LEVA-EU organises a practical Info-Meeting on the transition to the new EN 15194 — covering certification, battery requirements and what changes after the 15 May deadline.
Two versions of EN 15194, the European standard for EPACs, electric bicycles on two wheels, are currently in circulation. The difference between the two versions concerns the requirements for batteries.
The transition period between the “old” and the “new” version of the standard will end on 15 May 2026. From that date onward, only the most recent version of EN 15194 may be used.
LEVA-EU continues to receive many requests for clarification about this transition. Companies are asking questions such as:
LEVA-EU will address these and many other questions during a dedicated online Info Meeting on the transition from the old to the new EN 15194.
The meeting will take place online on Tuesday, 31 March 2026, from 10.00 till 12.00 CET.
During the first half of the meeting, we will explain the details and implications of the transition from the old to the new EN 15194. During the second half, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions. We encourage you to send your questions in advance by email to annick@leva-eu.com.
Participation is free for LEVA-EU members. The participation fee for non-members is €195 per person, which includes the presentation that will be shared with participants after the meeting.
If your company joins LEVA-EU within three months after the Info Meeting, the participation fee will be deducted from the LEVA-EU membership fee.
